Etimad Auction Boosts Transparency of Government Asset Sales in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Finance has begun enforcing a decision requiring all government entities to offer and sell movable government assets through the Etimad Auction electronic service, as part of efforts to enhance transparency and improve public asset management.

The Etimad Auction platform enables fully digital sales processes, from asset data entry and pricing to advertising, receiving bids, awarding contracts, and issuing invoices electronically, improving speed and accuracy.

The ministry noted that Etimad Auction ensures equal opportunities for individuals and the private sector, allowing broad participation in government auctions with transparency and fair competition, while maximizing the value of public assets.

This move aligns with Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation agenda and Vision 2030 goals to modernize public financial management and enhance efficiency.
