The Ministry of Economy and Planning signed a cooperation agreement with Saudi Venture Capital Company to strengthen data sharing and research across the entrepreneurship ecosystem, reinforcing venture capital as a key driver of economic growth and diversification.

The agreement focuses on sharing regulatory and market studies, collaborating on economic impact assessments for entrepreneurship, and identifying priority sectors with tailored investment plans, improving the efficiency and targeting of venture capital.

Joint Reports and Supportive Initiatives

Cooperation also covers the preparation of joint reports tracking entrepreneurship trends and the impact of venture capital, alongside the design and execution of initiatives that support innovation and capability building, with scope for additional collaboration.

Rapid Funding Growth

Saudi Arabia’s market has seen rapid expansion, with venture capital volumes increasing more than tenfold between 2018 and 2024—from about SAR 240 million to over SAR 2.7 billion—reaching around SAR 5.5 billion this year, signaling a maturing ecosystem and rising investor appetite.
